You’re not alone if you recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now your keyboard isn’t working. Many other Windows 10 customers have reported the same issue, particularly since February 13, 2018, when they installed the KB4074588 update. And, thankfully, there is a solution. Here are five options to consider. Simply work your way down the list until you discover one that solves the issue.
In Windows 10, why isn’t my keyboard working?
When it comes to your accessories, there are a variety of things that can go wrong. It’s conceivable that you’re having problems with your equipment or that something is amiss with your computer. Use the keyboard shortcut Windows + Space bar:

Turn off the Filter Keys option:
As previously stated, the Filter Keys function has a known flaw that causes keyboard troubles. Following the methods below, you may switch off Filter Keys and perhaps recover your keyboard in minutes.
- To open the Run utility, press the Windows + R keys on the on-screen keyboard, then type “control” and click the OK button. This will launch the Control Panel.
- Make sure that Category is selected as your view mode.
- After that, go to the Ease of Access section.
- In the Ease of Accessibility Center, click the “Manage how your keyboard works” link.
- Make absolutely sure the box next to “Turn on Filter Keys” is unchecked. If a checkmark appears, simply click it to delete it.
- Then click OK after clicking the Apply button. You should now be able to check if your keyboard is working properly.
Replace the keyboard with something else:
